Description
This small green patina pendant from the Boldly Unique Collection features a turquoise stone. It is set in sterling and fine silver. The Sterling silver has been patinated with a special process that turns the surface green. Consequently, this creates a contrast between the green body of the pendant and the brighter white color of the fine silver binding around the framework. Turquoise goes particularly well with the green patina of this piece.

This pendant has a width of about 15 mm (9/16 of an inch) and a height of about 18 mm (11/16 of an inch). It comes with an 18 inch snake chain that is 1 mm thick.
Turquoise
Turquoise is a form of hydrated copper and aluminum phosphate. It tends to form in dry desert areas deep underground. Turquoise has been a part of human adornment for thousands of years. Archeological evidence suggests that Chinese artisans were carving it as long ago as 3000 years or more. Also, it is a birthstone for the month of December.
